This Japanese Hostel Has Beds Inside a Hidden Bookshelf

What a peculiar hostel mantra!
Today we introduce a hostel who doesn’t take pride in comfy beds or fluffy pillows. But what it does offer is something truly special and unique – “What we do offer is an experience while reading a book (or comic book).”

“An experience shared by everyone at least once : the blissful “instant of falling asleep”.
It is already 2 am but you think just a little more… with heavy drooping eye lids you continue reading only to realize you have fallen asleep.”

Their concept is a readers haven – an accommodation bookshop. Books aren’t sold, though. Apparently it’s just an expression.
With books as their central theme, they decided to create a hostel offering the greatest “moment of sleep” – dozing off obliviously during reading a book.

Book and Bed Hostel is located in Tokyio, Japan. It is a tiny, 30 bed hostel where quests sleep in hidden bookshelves. It is stocked with thousands of books, english and japanese. Every bunk comes with own reading light.
